NEC’s Affordable Laser Printer
July 4th, 2007
If you’ve ever been late to a meeting after waiting for a slow ink jet printer to churn out a long document, you know that speed counts. Thankfully, prices for fast personal laser printers keep dropping. At $349, NEC’s new SuperScript 660plus sports one of the lowest street prices in its class, especially considering it comes with a parallel cable an unusual bonus worth $20 to $25.
Rated by NEC at 6 pages per minute, this compact 600-dot-per-inch laser printer comes equipped with 256K of RAM and a 150-sheet paper tray; an additional 250-sheet tray is optional.
NEC also throws in a two-year warranty and a useful CD-ROM that has a helpful on-screen user guide and templates for typical business documents.
